What made it better was that we had electricity. No one else seemed to other than the houses on our street. It was fantastic.
Then the cable went out, which knocks the internet out. We were bummed. We didn't realize quite how dependent we are on those things for entertainment. Yesterday we finally had to treck to a friend's house to check email. And facebook, of course.
Little did we know that when we returned to the house, the power would be out. That'll teach us to complain about the cable.
With nothing to entertain us at home besides watching icesicles form on our extremities, we came to work today. In Bentonville. Where the city has apparently never heard of salting the roads. I almost rear-ended a car on the way in. Terrifying.
Hopefully we'll have power when we get home from work, but the power company has only said that it hopes to have us all back by midnight on Saturday. To make it worse, only three houses are on the transformer I'm on. Think we're priority #1? Nuh uh.
Here are a few pics of the warzone for your enjoyment.
